OC Loop Bikeway

The construction of the OC Loop Bikeway Segment D will span about one mile through portions of Brea, Placentia, and Yorba Linda. The bikeway connects with the existing El Cajon Trail. The Segment D gap closure will consist of a two-lane paved recreation trail placed on top of the flood control channel and will include a series of NZ 19 sheet pile retaining walls and other improvements. In addition, the loop project has been designed in coordination with the planned replacement of the Golden Avenue Bridge. The OC Loop vision is 66 miles of seamless connections and an opportunity for people to bike, walk, and connect to many of OC's most popular destinations.more

Sedgwick County Bridge Project

A project that includes the replacement of ten functionally obsolete bridges in Sedgwick County, KS is using over 1,600 tons of Nucor Skyline H-piles in assorted sizes. The joint venture Bergkamp King was awarded the project and King Construction drove all the H-pile used on this project.more

Port of Bellingham

Nucor Skyline's Longview, WA facility produced over 1,300 tons of spiralweld pipe piles to be used as pier foundations for the new heavy lift wharf on Phase II of the construction at the Port of Bellingham. Once the aging timber and steel piers were removed, the spiralweld pipe piles were driven into place using a combination of vibratory hammer and impact hammers. A new heavy-duty concrete dock structure will be installed over the steel pipe piles.more

Sacramento Weir

The USACE chose Granite Construction for the majority of the work on the widening of the Sacramento Weir project for increased flood protection. Nucor Skyline supplied over 6,500 tons of pipe piles, each fitted with APF conical points, for the foundation of the new bridge and fish passage structures that were needed on the project.more

DHS Technical Operations Building

The foundation of the new ICE-Technical Operations Building in San Juan Puerto Rico was prepared with the installation of Nucor Skyline’s ERW 14” OD x .0375” pipe piles. Advantix Engineering used a vibratory hammer to install the 345 tons of pipe piles needed to support the new building construction.more
