Burns & McDonnell is concurrently running nine solar sites with Alliant Energy in Wisconsin. The Wood County, Bear Creek, and North Rock sites alone totaled 7,273 tons of wide flange solar piles. The material was sourced from Nucor-Yamato Steel and Nucor Steel Berkeley mills and was cut to length, fabricated with specific hole patterns, galvanized, and color-coded for the customer. Nucor Skyline received support from 12 different processors/galvanizers to meet the customer’s schedule.more
