The Nucor Steel Brandenburg project involved several Nucor Skyline partners over the course of a three-year construction timeline. Goettle drove the 1,000 tons of NZ 14 and NZ 19 needed for the initial foundation of the plant. Foertsch Contracting worked on the construction of the river docks for barge loading/unloading using 2,000 tons of PS 31 flat sheets for a circular cell cofferdam. The state-of-the-art plate mill, once operational in late 2022, will be able to provide 1,200,000 tons of plate to Nucor customers.more
