Irishtown Bend

Richard Goettle used Nucor Skyline products when driving the combi-wall for the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority Irishtown Bend on the Cuyahoga River. The river is being traversed by bigger vessels and the combi-wall was needed to hold back the silty soils to keep the river deep enough for ships. Nucor Skyline supplied both rolled and welded pipe piles and NZ sheet piles of differing sizes for the combi-wall.more

The only road into Denali Natonal Park has been closed due to a long-term landslide preventing access to over half of the park. To support construction of a new bridge to re-open this critical road, DMB Contractors installed several different Nucor Skyline products for slope stabilization and bridge foundation elements.more

NJ Transit and Amtrak are replacing the century-old Portal Bridge over the Hackensack River in New Jersey with a higher bridge that will not have to open and close for river traffic. Portal North Bridge is an important element of the broader Gateway Program to double rail capacity between Newark and New York.more

OC Loop Bikeway

The construction of the OC Loop Bikeway Segment D will span about one mile through portions of Brea, Placentia, and Yorba Linda. The bikeway connects with the existing El Cajon Trail. The Segment D gap closure will consist of a two-lane paved recreation trail placed on top of the flood control channel and will include a series of NZ 19 sheet pile retaining walls and other improvements. In addition, the loop project has been designed in coordination with the planned replacement of the Golden Avenue Bridge. The OC Loop vision is 66 miles of seamless connections and an opportunity for people to bike, walk, and connect to many of OC's most popular destinations.more
