Portal North Bridge

NJ Transit and Amtrak are replacing the century-old Portal Bridge over the Hackensack River in New Jersey with a higher bridge that will not have to open and close for river traffic. Portal North Bridge is an important element of the broader Gateway Program to double rail capacity between Newark and New York.

Products: Pipe Piles: 24" x 0.625 pipe (5,400 tons), 24" x 0.750 pipe (1,050 tons); Wide Flange Beams: W27 x 336 galvanized (2,500 tons); Sheet Pile: NZ 14, NZ 19, NZ 26, NZ 38 (2,600 tons combined), SKZ 20 & SKZ 33 with steelant in interlocks (1,400 tons)
